But yes! Somewhat memories are coming back to me! It was called digital unity and honestly it was my favorite digimon site, I was pretty sad that they are gone tho, I had some good times on there and met with some rad people, it was great! I found the site through Google

Yes, aha. I'm certainly glad to have met them. Even if it's all in my imagination in the end, it's a bit comforting to think it may exist somewhere, I think? Aha. I really liked that site as well, I've even searched for it a lot over the years, but I guess it might just be gone. A pity, really.

I've been on a few sites, but I think DU was my entry to the community as well, maybe? Since I probably found this place first but it was either abandoned or overrun by trolls and ads, I don't honestly remember.

Anyways, I think this site is the top link when you search "digimon believers" on account of the forum title, lol. I wasn't very creative when I named the site. To be honest, I'm very embarrassed at past me for doing a lotta silly crap back then.

I think DU closed down cause the admin just didn't have time for it? They began to disappear a lot, each time for a longer period until they just finally vanished. If you try visiting the old url, it takes you to a whole other site too.

That'd make sense. (Logged in and changed avatar, hope this is okay?) Too bad they couldn't leave the site running, though, if just on a free forum platform, y'know? Like this, aha.

I wish so too, tho. But then again, there were just too many running sites. When you think of it, it's the same exact thing on each one. There wasn't much variety, unless there was a member on one site that wasn't on the other. Which was pretty rare, since everyone was pretty much everywhere, lol.

But anyways, my head hurts, so even though it's not that late where I live, I'm gonna go sleep for the night.

I remember DU. There was a chat too, right? I never joined in though, since I was mostly lurking, but I did have an account there.

And yeah there was a chatzy chat there. It was originally from DFT, but it was used by DU as well.

Did you ever get your account to be verified? There was this system on DU, where you had to get vouched by someone in order to view the rest of the forum. A lot of people were against it at first, but it was a clever way to keep the community safe from trolls.

I did yeah. I was friend with someone in the staff, so I was able to get quick access without having to ask for anybody to vouch for me. I think there should be a chat here too. It would be easier to talk to the rest of the members in real time.

Ehhh, I thought about it, but I think having a single open topic is best for everyone, because that way people can come back and read through messages they might have missed, ya know?

Besides, a lot of us have different time zones or are busy through the day, so it'd be hard to get everyone in the same room at the same time. If members keep coming in though, and this topic starts to get crowded, then I'll consider opening up a chat! In the mean time, I think this topic is alright c:

Yeah there's a few people here who have been around for years. Some of them have changed their usernames though, so there might be more that you could recognize.

There was a hidden category in DU that only people who were verified could see. Like there was this other section where members would make a topic, to request authorization. And someone who was previously authorized, would vouch for that person.

At the time, a lot of people, myself included, thought that it was a silly thing to isolate everyone and make it so that it would be like a secret group. But after some time we realized it was for protection. I don't remember exactly what parts were hidden, but I'll have to assume it was the part where we would talk about real digimon, etc.

It was a section of the now-defunct forum, so it's gone now along with the rest of the forum.

Like Dorumon said, it was just a section of the forum. It's gone along with the rest of it. DU's sadly not coming back :c Unless the admin reappears somehow and revamps it, but they disappeared years ago, and I doubt they'll be coming back.

I do hope they're okay though.

But its okay, I do hope the creator of DU makes a comeback and recreates a new DU forum! That would be super rad :3 but chances of that are quite unlikely tho :/
